How do I make a playlist in Jaangle?

Postby vpiercy » 06 Jun 2013, 19:44

I can't find any information on this pretty basic requirement, either by searching the word "playlist" in the forum or on the wiki.

How do regular Jaangle users make playlists? The navigation is not simple. I have the Sections, Track, and Playlist panes viewable. What's the best way to set up the Sections list to pick songs from the library or the Tracks list to run searches (and especially I can't figure out how to search by genre).

How do I get the list of saved playlists to appear in a pane?

TIA!

I don't use playlists, I always use "auto continue":
1. In the playlist pane: click the cogwheel.
2. Mode > Auto-Continue.

This will make Jaangle to pick random tracks from your collection. You can filter tracks by artist/album/new:
1. In the playlist pane: click the cogwheel.
2. Mode > Auto-Continue mode.

In the cogwheel-menu you can also load/save playlists. Jaangöe however has no native browse-playlists-feature. All tracks can be added to the present playlist by simply drag them there from tracklist-pane. (Right-clicking on an artist/album gives you the ability to add all tracks or random tracks.

Genre search is a bit tricky - but do-able.
1. In the treeview: click the cog wheel
2. Under "Mode" you can sort the tree on genre-artist-album.
